Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how IDARA ONE PTY LTD (ABN 89 686 942 638), trading as IDARA ONE (“we”, “us”), handles personal information collected through idaraone.com. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you use our contact form: your first name, last name (optional), work email, phone number (optional), company (optional), the topic you choose and your message.
- When you email or call us: the details you choose to give us.
- Your IP address, which our server uses for a few minutes to limit repeated form submissions. Our hosting provider may also record IP addresses in its server logs for security and operations.
- Anonymous visit statistics: our hosting provider counts page views, recording the page, the site you came from, your browser, operating system and device type, and your approximate location. It doesn't use cookies and can't identify you; a visitor is recognised only by a temporary code that is discarded after 24 hours.
- If you accept analytics cookies: information Google Analytics collects about your visit, such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Google Signals and ad personalisation are turned off.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss or provide our services.
- To keep a record of our communications with you.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, using anonymous visit statistics and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics.
- To protect the website and the contact form from spam and misuse.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Our website hosting provider, which also provides our anonymous visit statistics.
- Our email delivery service, which sends contact form messages to our inbox.
- Our email service provider, which stores our email.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it.
Overseas storage
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers and only share what they need.
How we protect and keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure. We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond, to provide our services and for our business records, and then delete them.
Cookies
The website doesn't need cookies to work, and our anonymous visit statistics don't use them. Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) are only set if you click Accept on the cookie banner. We remember your choice in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page; declining removes the analytics cookies.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@idaraone.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
